Coming from "Dushi" Curacao

Energetic and driven, Alex picked up salsa in 2009 in his home island of Curacao and after years of classes from multiple international teachers; eventually started teaching private classes to salsa dancers eager to improve for free.
​
Alex founded LatinSpice initially for events management, but expanded into providing course structured classes and focusing on smaller groups.
​
Alex has lived in The Netherlands, Germany, the UK and is also a musician.
​
Side note: Curacao is an island located off the coast of Curacao. "Dushi" is a word taken from its native language which can mean anything from sweet, tasty to sweetheart
MARTA GORECKA
Instructor
Marta started dancing at the age of 10. From her native Poland she has a background in ballet. She also performed Polish folk and national dances at various festivals around the world. Before moving to Ireland she completed her diploma as a cultural animator in dance specialization.
She started dancing salsa in Ireland in 2009, becoming soon very passionate about this form of dance and joining various performing groups. She is always excited about her adventure of spreading salsa love around Ireland and getting more and more people 'infected'.
BEATRIZ FERNANDEZ
Instructor
Bea is from Madrid, Spain. She started dancing in 2015 and thanks to her dedication, perseverance and passion, she learned from many different teachers to develop her skills in Salsa and Bachata. Bea has been part of different projects such as Dublin Touch, World team project or Infinity Baila team, learning choreographies that she performed in different events in Dublin. Nowadays she keeps attending to festivals to continue learning from the best teachers around the world.
MARIA KOZLOVSKAYA

Introducing our friends from the Bailamar Academy
Maria has more than 25 years of dance experience and over 15 years of dance teaching.
She has been working in various dance styles from classical dance to urban club dancing.
In 2008 together with Alexander she was involved into Latin American dances, such as salsa, bachata and merengue.
This passion brought them to the Dominican Republic in 2012.
They fell in love with this country and stayed there for a long time to explore bachata.
Later on they formed their own vision of teaching bachata and started to organise regular BailaMar Bachata Camps in Dominican Republic in cooperation with Dominican dance instructors.

PRESENTING SASHA & SANTEE
Introducing Sasha & Santee
Sasha and Santee have been working together for about 2 years and have a combined style of crossbody and Cali salsa, but also do mambo and other Latin rhythms.
They’ve been referred to as the future of Salsa
Sasha's is a 25 years old. Originally from Jamaica but grew up in London. She comes from a classical trained background. A graduate from Lewisham college with an advance to dance in contemporary ballet and jazz. She studied and trained in different techniques from Cunningham and Martha Graham. While studying she was also a member of LABAN contemporary dance school.
She later went on to work for sadler's Wells and also worked with very well know choreographers like Akram Khan and Jasmin Vardimon.
And then came her love for Salsa! She’s trained with well-known artists like Fernando Sosa. I have travel to many congresses to improve my style. I currently teach for the world-famous Super Mario.
Santee is a young professional salsa dancer born in Colombia, who runs and choreographs his own dance academy in London, ‘Los Rumberos Dance Academy’. He specialises in Cali style salsa but also teaches advanced crossbody on1 and On2 and other Latin rhythms. He has taken his group to international competitions and have come out podium placements.
